I went shopping yesterday and visited a young man whom I am mentoring. Meko works at Reasor's grocery store and is an awesome young man. After visiting with him I bought Hershey's kisses and Tootsie rolls which I gave one of each to everybody I knew and others today. I celebrated Mom's birth anniversary today by giving the chocolates and rolls. I felt better by bringing a bit a joy to others and my sense of loss and sadness was lessened, no diminished greatly. I know that Mom would have appreciated the act's of kindness, and so too did those who received the candy.
I did calistenics this morning, ate the usuals throughout the day and studied in the library until 9pm and then spoke with a friend for two hours.
A simple act of kindness does not have to be complex, and yet a simple act of kindness does complex wonders. Peace. Hans
